VeriFone Systems, Inc. (NYSE: PAY), today announced the formal launch of PAYware Ocius, a multi-channel managed service suite for processing card payments in the UK and Ireland across in-store, online and mobile retail channels.
PAYware Ocius complements VeriFone's existing PAYware Merchant Managed Service solution and builds on the offerings of Commidea, the longest-established managed service payment gateway in the UK, which was part of VeriFone's acquisition of Point earlier this year.
"Our customers increasingly need a payment services and support partner to manage not only card acceptance and PCI compliance, but also the growing variety of multi-channel services and apps, such as e-commerce, mobile wallets, loyalty, CRM and more," said Tony Saunders, VP and GM, VeriFone UK and Ireland. "PAYware Ocius provides gateway services, point-to-point encryption and multi-channel e-commerce processing, as well as other mission critical services, within a controlled cost base that reduces CAPEX and provides outstanding ROI."
The PCI certified managed services model is able to support all merchants, from sole traders to multi-outlet retailers, and manage the entire payment lifecycle, from consultation and installation to processing. Retailers using the managed service are able to simplify PCI DSS compliance and take advantage of benefits such as comprehensive real-time reporting, 24/7 support and a range of value-added services to increase sales and loyalty from shoppers.
PAYware Ocius supports all types of customer present and customer not present card processing including PINpad, wireless and unattended payment devices, eCommerce solutions and mail and telephone order (MOTO) payments. As such, it enables clients of all sizes in the UK and Ireland to provide consistent payment processing experiences for their customers across all sales channels.
