Auriga, among the main European suppliers of software and solutions for the banking industry and payments system, today unveiled its new Cloud-based ATM concepts at ATMIA 2012, the European ATMs conference in London.
The company showcased the latest release of WWS, its ATM management solution based on Cloud Computing, which brings together, on central servers, all the data and business logic required to run cash machines.
Auriga's WWS - established in Europe with a 9% market share of the European multi-vendor ATM application market*- reduces not only ATM network's management costs dramatically, but also the "time-to-market" for new services. This also simplifies the integration between different banks, allowing them to maintain their own identity and set of services, whilst relying on a single infrastructure.
The WWS solution is now widespread and installed in over 25,000 cash machines in Europe.
During the course of the conference, Auriga had the opportunity to unveil "the fastest cash withdrawal" in the market - made possible by WWS and carried out in under 17 seconds - through the use of a mobile app rather than the traditional debit card. This approach also succeeds in improving the overall security of the transaction against card and PIN frauds.
In addition to the aforementioned, Auriga exhibited an innovative concept aimed at improving ATM audio accessibility for the visually impaired. The technology uses a customer's smartphone to convey audio messages to guide them through the transaction, in real-time. Rather than using a headset plugged into an earphone jack on the ATM.
Auriga's success and expertise was validated and cemented at ATMIA, through a conference held in conjunction with one of its foremost clients, Intesa Sanpaolo - the leading Italian retail bank and one of Italy's largest ATM deployers.
Intesa Sanpaolo, who migrated to Auriga's advanced multivendor software platform WWS a year ago, highlighted the benefits it is experiencing thanks to the adoption of Auriga technology.
Massimo Sirolla, Head of International Sales at Auriga, and Peter Caiazzi, Head of Direct Banking at Intesa Sanpaolo, delivered a speech to explain how networks can deliver a high level of availability as well as constantly delivering new and personalised functions to the end user.
Following their participation in ATMIA 2012, Massimo Sirolla commented "Having opened our UK offices only a few days ago, we were happy to participate in this year's ATMIA conference, where we presented a number of new concepts which, I believe, clearly highlight Auriga's innovative and advanced approach to ATM solutions".
