IntraNet Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq:TSAI), the industry leader in international and domestic wholesale financial messaging and payment processing solutions for financial institutions, today announced that BancWest has selected IntraNet's iMTS Remote Payment Initiation and Inquiry (RPI) module.

The RPI module will allow BancWest's First Hawaiian branches to submit payment instructions securely and efficiently through industry standard browsers to its centralized payments department, unifying and streamlining its payment operations.

An iMTS customer since 1998, BancWest Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas, a European banking and financial services leader with a growing presence in the United States. With assets of more than $50 billion, BancWest serves more than three million households and businesses in 17 Western and Midwestern states, Guam and Saipan through its two major subsidiaries, First Hawaiian Bank and Bank of the West. With branches and internal departments requiring immediate access to intuitive payment initiation and inquiry, First Hawaiian Bank chose the RPI module to replace its homegrown system.

"In looking to offer our branch network self-service funds transfer initiation and inquiry capabilities, we were able to leverage the iMTS solution through the RPI module and provide superior functionality to our employees," said Duane Chun, vice president at First Hawaiian Bank. "First Hawaiian's adoption of the RPI module underscores the longstanding and robust relationship BancWest has shared with IntraNet Worldwide throughout the past seven years."

iMTS moves money, settles multiple currencies and streamlines operations for 23 of the top 100 global banks and 41 of the top 100 U.S. banks. The RPI module increases the flexibility of the iMTS user interface, eliminates the need for software distribution and provides delivery to new audiences while ensuring the maximum security, reliability and operator efficiency. RPI can be configured in either a BEA WebLogic or IBM WebSphere environment, extending IntraNet's service-oriented architecture (SOA) component-based design.

"By executing a progressive technology strategy to achieve operational efficiency and excellence in payment processing, BancWest has continued to position itself as a driving force in the wholesale banking marketplace," said Dennis D. Jorgensen, president and CEO, IntraNet Worldwide. "BancWest's strong commitment to IntraNet Worldwide speaks to the proven return on investment our solutions deliver and more importantly, our continuous and diligent focus on the overall customer experience."
