Nordea signs for Sungard's Ambit asset liability suite

Nordea Bank AB, the leading financial services group in the Nordic region, has expanded its relationship with SunGard through the addition of SunGard's Ambit Asset Liability Management solution.

Ambit Asset Liability Management will support the bank in better managing balance sheet risk and complying with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions.

Ambit ALM will support Nordea Bank AB in better managing interest rate risk and liquidity, by facilitating complete multidimensional analysis of the balance sheet through modeling of client behavior, economic valuation, interest rate scenarios and a wide range of other variables quickly, easily and accurately. Nordea has been a customer of SunGard's since 1999.

Alwin Meyer, chief operating officer of SunGard's Ambit risk and performance business unit, said, "A unified view of risk and performance measurements across activities and markets is essential for better risk management decision making.
