Indata, a leading industry provider of software and services for buy-side firms including trade order management (OMS), compliance, portfolio accounting and front-to-back office today announced the release of iPM Connect, a game-changing product for institutional investment management firms available via Indata's iPM Private Cloud or as an in-house application.
"We were the first buy side vendor to offer CRM within our solution set with the launch of InContact in 2003. iPM Connect takes things to another level and represents a different approach from the rigid, silo-based architectures of stand-alone systems or those that run on separate databases," commented David J. Csiki, Managing Director, INDATA.
For CRM, iPM Connect contains a complete range of functionalities including those that are typically only available in best of class CRM solutions, such as the ability to create customizable user interfaces as well as sophisticated email blast, mail merge and other capabilities used for marketing and client servicing. It also has the ability to automatically integrate with Microsoft Outlook for users who prefer Outlook's contact management tools.
In addition, iPM Connect includes a full suite of research management tools within the same platform. Unlike other systems where research management is a completely separate product and database, research management is fully integrated with other iPM functionality, such as portfolio management, reporting and CRM. The result is a fully integrated research management system (RMS) where users can effectively manage investment research, view and filter information seamlessly based on security identifiers, portfolio identifiers, relationships, contacts or any other entity that exists within the iPM database. This configuration eliminates the complexity and high cost of implementation usually associated with stand alone research management systems.
iPM Connect is completely extensible, offering the ability to integrate other database sources or applications without requiring front end programming. Other key features include iPad compatibility and plans for compatibility with other future tablet PC devices as they become available. The iPad has become the current presentation tool of choice for portfolio managers and marketing professionals and iPM Connect was de designed to work with the iPad from the ground up.
