At next week's NACHA Payments Conference in Baltimore, MD (US), Panini will announce the commercial release of Panini Avantor; the latest milestone from their continuous innovation program.

The scanner management software platform provides comprehensive capabilities in the areas of professional asset management, performance optimization, and payment device security. Incorporating the industry-leading reliability, quality and performance customers expect from Panini, Panini Avantor allows financial institutions and businesses to better manage their distributed capture devices while optimizing overall cost of ownership.

"With the adoption and implementation of check truncation in global markets, our customers and partners have emphasized the need for a solution to manage their deployed base of Panini scanners," notes Panini CEO Nicola Aliperti. "We are pleased to respond with Panini Avantor, truly unique in its capabilities and architecture, and will continue to focus on our continuous innovation program to deliver value to our customers."

The first of its kind in the distributed capture market, Panini Avantor is designed to be flexible, scalable, and adaptable, allowing customers to configure the solution based on their unique environment and business requirements. Panini Avantor's asset management features allow organizations to quickly identify, assess and track scanner inventories. The solution provides monitoring and reporting on scanner performance, including real-time alerts allowing proactive intervention and active support for new scanner deployments. The advanced security features allow for IP-based location tracking with additional options for enhanced location tracking. With capabilities for remote access and device shutdown, Avantor administrators are able to mitigate risk and fraud. Additionally, the intuitive, easy to use interface and flexible reporting options offer seamless integration with pre-existing databases and management systems.

Panini Avantor features a web-based open architecture based on widely accepted industry standards such as SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and TCP/IP network protocol. The open system architecture features database and browser independence, enabling low cost deployment and support for a wide variety of distributed environments including:

1) Financial Institutions - Branch Image Capture - Financial institutions with branch capture solutions can maintain efficiency of their equipment and reduce total cost of ownership. They can also control and manage assets, and improve the user experience by maximizing scanner uptime, availability, and performance.

2) Financial Institutions & Businesses - Remote Deposit Capture - Panini Avantor is perfectly suited for managing devices which are not under the bank's direct control, providing risk mitigation and anti-fraud benefits supported by Avantor's unique "Geolocation" capability to identify a scanner's physical location in real-time. Additionally, the end user enjoys an improved user experience and greater system availability which preserves RDC benefits by minimizing costs associated with failed transactions and system downtime.

Panini Avantor is currently deployed in three top US financial institutions along with a number of implementations in Europe and Latin America. Demonstrations of Panini Avantor will be provided at Panini's booth #449 in the NACHA Payments 2012 exhibit hall (Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD).

Panini Avantor is now commercially available after extensive field trials and testing.
