Figures for the end of April show that 21,260 IFAs subscribe to Exweb; this marks the first time that the subscriber figure has risen above 21,000. The current subscriber figure is 1,390 higher than the same time in 2004 and up 668 since the start of 2005. Taken on a weekly basis, it means that an average of 39 new subscribers have been tapping into the benefits of Exweb each week in 2005.

Allied to the increase in subscriber figures, The Exchange has also seen a surge in the number of electronic new business submissions on Exweb, peaking in February with nearly 11,500 transactions completed.

David Child, managing director at The Exchange, comments:

"These figures confirm that Exweb is strengthening its position as the portal of choice for the UK financial services industry - we are obviously proud of this and of the mutual trust that is evident between ourselves and the industry. We work closely with IFAs and providers to ensure continual product improvement and the delivery of new services, which are directly in line with the requirements of the marketplace."
