iZettle and Telia, Sweden's market leading telecom operator, has signed a cooperation agreement meaning iZettle's mini chip-card reader that turns an iPhone or iPad into a mobile credit card payment terminal is available in Telia's 90 shops across Sweden starting March 23rd.

The IZettle card reader comes to the price of SEK 199 excluding VAT, and with a SEK 200 voucher toward iZettle transaction fees. As iZettle card readers are now available in shops individuals and small businesses can now buy their card reader, create an iZettle account and start taking payments within minutes.

Unlike costly traditional point of sale card readers, with iZettle there is no set up fee or monthly fee. Instead, each transaction using iZettle is charged fees equal to 2.75 percent of the sale plus SEK 1.50 (€0.15). iZettle then electronically deposits payments in the seller's bank account the business day following transactions.
IZettle is simple to set up and use, and makes it easy to share purchases with friends on Facebook. The social payments company's service is Europay, MasterCard and VISA (EMV) approved, and compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). No sensitive data is ever stored on the mobile device or iZettle reader, and all data traffic is encrypted.
iZettle began commercial service in Sweden in October, and is now also available in Denmark, Finland and Norway.
