The extension of IPC's high performance network services to Istanbul means that Turkish trading firms can now access and carry out business with a wider international community.

Together with its strategic local partner SPINTEK, a new POP (point-of-presence) has been built using advanced technology to allow its customers to access trader voice and data connectivity services. A new data center has been established in Istanbul to support the network with high capacity, availability and scalability to support future growth requirements.

"The key drivers behind investment in the network in Turkey are the strong local economy and the need to support the rapidly growing Turkish financial markets," says Richard Petrie, VP of Network Operations EMEA, IPC Systems. "Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Turkey represents an increasingly important hub for the global financial trading community, and its capital markets are now attracting significant attention from international investors. By working with SPINTEK to develop the network, we're now able to offer Turkish trading firms secure, high speed connections that enable them to expand their business with key international financial destinations."

Kaya Bag, CEO of SPINTEK said: "We've worked with IPC for more than 7 years and in that time have supported local traders with their communications. Now IPC has proved its trust and commitment to the Turkish capital markets with this extension of its network and together we aim to offer the highest level of service to Turkish trading firms."
