The contract, signed in the fourth quarter, includes a data center consolidation project and the implementation of a multi-site disaster recovery solution. This end-to-end solution allows the customer to safely move, manage, and protect their information while meeting both Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for data retention and long-term disaster recovery and business continuity needs.

The disaster recovery solution includes CNT UltraNet Storage Directors – eXtended (USD – X), bandwidth, and services for remote data replication, tape migration, and data center consolidation. The remote replication solution will extend across nearly 1800 miles, using CNT's USD-X's. This customer chose CNT's USD-X because it can extend ESCON, FICON, and Fibre Channel all in the same platform.

In addition, CNT provided the bandwidth for the disaster recovery network and CNT’s Network Operations Center (NOC) and Network Management Service (NMS) will proactively manage the hardware and the bandwidth remotely. This solution also includes CNT 24x7x365 maintenance and services.

"CNT has a strong history of supporting the financial industry for their most mission-critical storage networking needs," said Tom Hudson, CNT's President and CEO.

"Backed by over 20 years of history and experience, CNT offers customers a truly unique end-to-end storage networking solution that can also include bandwidth. We’ve got all the pieces the customer needs for the most complete and reliable disaster recovery and business continuity solutions."
