Popular Community Bank today announced the availability of its new Popular Mobile Check Deposits service that enables easy 3 Step, anytime/anywhere deposits of checks up to $1,500 using iPhone or Android.*
To deposit a check a customer with the Mobile app only has to: 1) Access the app and start a new deposit; 2) Take a picture of the front and back of the check; 3) Fill out basic information; and press the "deposit check" button. Mobile Check Deposits is the latest addition to the Popular Mobile Banking Platform, launched in November 2011.

According to a recent study Federal Study, use of paper checks declined 7.1% since 2006, with a 45% growth in electronic payments.
