ANTs software, inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ANTS), a developer of high-performance SQL database management systems, today announced that Computer Intelligence Group, Inc., a management and systems consultancy company focused on trading systems, risk management and compliance services, has joined the ANTs Software Alliance Program (ASAP) to jointly develop solutions targeted at the financial services industry.
As an ASAP partner, Computer Intelligence Group will develop, market, and demonstrate solutions built for the ANTs Data Server, enabling customers to boost application performance by 5 to 15 times in many cases and achieve a total cost of ownership potentially 60 to 90 percent less than existing solutions.
Since 1984, Computer Intelligence Group, Inc. has combined industry and technical knowledge to develop customized, cost efficient solutions that cover all aspects of the trading environment from sales and trading through clearance and settlement. Because of the ANTs Data Server's standards compliance and compatibility with Oracle, Microsoft and Sybase stored procedures, CIG can quickly leverage its existing database expertise to deliver new solutions with significant potential savings.
"Securities firms continually push the performance envelope of IT systems supporting revenue generating transactions, the core of our expertise," said CIG Founder and President, Samuel B. Galeota. "So we approached ANTs to see if its technology would be of value to our clients. After evaluating the ANTs Data Server, we have concluded that its combination of performance and compatibility with the databases in use on Wall Street today, can be of significant benefit to our clients."
Computer Intelligence Group (CIG) has developed three focus areas: management consultancy, systems implementation and support, and specialized software development. Each of these areas evolved from the need to provide a complete offering of professional services capable of meeting the disparate and changing global infrastructural requirements of financial services firms. CIG clients include Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Credit Suisse First Boston, Societe Generale, Mizuho Trust & Banking, and Datek.
"From day one we have targeted the financial services industry," said ANTs' chief executive officer, Boyd Pearce. "It is comprised of performance-hungry, IT-savvy enterprises whose applications have outgrown existing database solutions. The lock-free architecture of the ANTs Data Server can provide the scalability and real-time response needed in straight through processing to capitalize on rapid market movements where millions of dollars are at stake with each trade. CIG is the perfect partner to introduce our product to Wall Street trading firms. We are extremely pleased to have this alliance in place."
