Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI), a leading provider of consulting services and system solutions, today announced the acquisition of Anshin Software Pvt. Ltd (Anshinsoft), an IT consulting and software development company based in India.
The company capitalized at 5.7 million INR (about $113,000 USD). This investment secures offshore development locations and enhances global operational support for NRI's financial solutions.
Over the last 10 years, Anshinsoft has supported the development and maintenance of NRI's I-STAR/GV product, a back-office solution in the securities business. I-STAR/GV offers scalability for a dramatically changing business environment by providing real-time position management across global operations, consolidated management of client accounts and a cross-check for intra-office data to broker-dealers.
"NRI and Anshinsoft have a longstanding relationship and this is the natural next step in our partnership," said Shin Kusunoki, Corporate Senior Vice President and Asset Management Systems Division Manager, NRI. "This acquisition truly complements our existing solutions. It is important that we continue to expand our business through multiple channels and enhance our services for clients across the globe."
NRI continues to attract business from global investment managers who are interested in improving operational efficiencies via adoption of robust technology.
This is the second major investment in India for NRI over the last 12 months, including the establishment of Nomura Research Institute India Pvt. Ltd.
Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, Anshinsoft is being renamed to Nomura Research Institute Financial Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. With approximately 180 local employees, this will be the 18th office outside of Japan for NRI.
