Dotcom is a supplier of communication platforms for voice, data, video and network services.
The agreement supports TietoEnator's strategy to concentrate on high-value-added IT services for specific industries. TietoEnator started to withdraw from the network infrastructure business in year 2000 by selling the majority of the subsidiary Dotcom AB's shares to the private equity company 3i Group plc (former Atle IT) and to the company's operative management.
The selling price for TietoEnator's holding is MEUR 18.3 and the capital gain in connection with the closing date is expected to be MEUR 8.0. The deal is expected to take effect during the second quarter of 2005.
The transaction is subject to approval by the Swedish Competition Authority.
