BSE Ltd. (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd.) in collaboration with Morningstar India, today launched a dedicated website to empower investors with relevant information and tools on evaluating mutual fund investment opportunities.

BSE StAR MF is the BSE's exchange traded mutual fund transaction platform and allows subscription and redemption in 29 Mutual funds in the industry. These partner mutual funds on BSE StAR MF together account for over 92% of the industry's Assets Under Management (AUM). In keeping with its leadership position in the exchange traded mutual fund space, a need was felt for a dedicated mutual fund website for investors that would not only provide insights to the common every day investor but would also provide state-of-the-art analytical tools used internationally, by distributors and advisors alike to facilitate them to provide investors with real, efficient and intelligent information.

Reiterating its commitment of continual improved services to investors, BSE has tied up with Morningstar, a leading independent investment research company with presence in 26 countries across the globe. Morningstar provides data on approximately over 330,000 investment offerings worldwide including stocks, mutual funds, etc. along with real-time global market data on more than 5 million equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, precious metals, foreign exchange and treasury markets.

At the launch, BSE MD & CEO, Mr. Madhu Kannan, said, "We have been receiving good response to our Mutual Fund Platform - BSE StAR MF, which has a dominant market share in the exchange traded Mutual Fund space and hence felt the need to help various stakeholders that include our members, distributors and investors by giving them access to international quality research tools to improve the quality of their advisory decisions. We hope that this valuable facility empowered by Morningstar will be used extensively for more informed and smart investing."

Mr. Aditya Agarwal, MD of Morningstar India, said "We are delighted to be associated with BSE in this initiative of providing advisors and investors with high quality research and analytical tools on mutual funds. At Morningsgstar, we are always looking for ways to provide investors with information to help them make informed decisions, and the launch of this website is a step in this direction.
