Morpho (Safran group), a world leader in secure mobile identity, has partnered with Novedia, a specialist in strategic consulting for companies involved in the latest digital solutions, to offer Near Field Communication (NFC) services worldwide.
NFC can open up numerous new business cases in the areas of contactless payment, access control, electronic ticketing, identification and authentication.
Mobile Network Operators have a strong interest in this trendsetting contactless technology, but there are a lot of questions on how to address this topic strategically. Together with its partner Novedia, Morpho intends to set up a comprehensive offer of project management and marketing services to meet the NFC needs of Mobile Network Operators.
Morpho has already substantiated NFC-knowledge gained from trials in different parts of the world. These include download and execution of VISA PayWave on Morpho SIM card, access of tourist information by using the reader mode (application stored on the SIM), download and execution of a loyalty application, download, personalization and execution of MasterCard M/Chip 4 application, transport use cases and more. Morpho has also been involved in the first commercial launch of NFC in Nice, France.
