Continuum announced today that it has signed an agreement with Interactive Data Desktop Solutions to provide a trade execution interface for the FutureSource Workstation platform.
This agreement represents another major step forward in Continuum's rapid first-year expansion. Continuum now provides a diverse set of integrated solutions to more than forty clients by harnessing its enterprise-level API products, extensive infrastructure resources, and powerful trade routing and market data connectivity.
FutureSource Workstation offers charts, news, and market data from a wide range of asset classes. Under this new arrangement, FutureSource Workstation will include professional trading functionality by embedding CQG Trader together with an integrated API into FutureSource Workstation.
The trading application is now linked with FutureSource Workstation, allowing orders to be placed from within the application. Order details are sent through the API to CQG Trader for execution via Continuum's Hosted Exchange Gateways and, through this ultra-low-latency connectivity, traders can execute strategies on more than forty exchanges worldwide. Additionally, by selecting symbols in a quote board, traders can automatically open the trading interface populated with those symbols.

Continuum will also power order routing functionality in the eSignal platform directly through Continuum's Hosted Exchange Gateways via FIX Connect. FIX Connect, Continuum's FIX 4.2-compatible API, allows for both manual and automatic trade execution as well as trade monitoring.
