IBM Coremetrics signs Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna

IBM Coremetrics, a leader in the marketing optimisation, announced today that Italian Interregional Banking Group, Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna has selected its solutions on a software -as-a-Service (SaaS) model, as the backbone of the new infrastructure for BPER multi-channel and online banking.

In an increasingly competitive landscape, the Bank Group has selected IBM Coremetrics Analytics, Monitor and Explore to sustain growth, and build brand equity and competitive advantage with multi-channel customer service.

The Group has 1,400 branches in BPER Italian Regions: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Trentino Alto Adige, Umbria and Wind. The BPER Group is also present in Europe with particular reference to Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Switzerland, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Luxembourg as well as countries outside the EU such as Ireland and China. The Bank's move to fully embrace a best-in-class approach to Internet services will not only allow its brand success online, but will strengthen its geographic presence throughout Italy.

The IBM Coremetrics solution will support the Group BPER objectives to provide an increasingly important service for both personal and business banking customers from every point of contact to better understand them and their lifetime value to the business.

Coremetrics Web Analytics will deliver continuous optimisation as well as insights and behavioural analysis, while Monitor provides near real-time, continuously updated information on the performance of the website. BPER will use Explore to mine the data it collects and obtain a complete picture of visitor and customer behaviour.

The Group has opted for BPER IBM Coremetrics SaaS solutions in order to achieve greater efficiency and cost control in the management of a new system. Above all, it also allows BPER to retain ownership of its complete system and data.
