Zix Corporation (ZixCorp), (NASDAQ:ZIXI), the leader in email encryption services, has signed a three-year renewal agreement with Austin Bank, Texas N.A., a 110-year-old East Texas financial institution.

ZixCorp will continue to provide email encryption for Austin Bank's 30 banking locations, enabling secure email with all customers and business partners.

Austin Bank began using ZixCorp® Email Encryption Services in 2008 to protect all sensitive customer information transmitted in email. After experiencing ZixCorp's ease of use, reliable technology and convenient transparent delivery, Austin Bank decided to renew with ZixCorp.

"Whether in email with a bank customer or a business partner, secure communication of sensitive personal information is essential," said John Orr, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Austin Bank. "Using ZixCorp's solution offers customer protection without being a burden on our employees or partners."

Austin Bank encrypts email with ZixGateway®, a policy-based email encryption service which automatically scans and encrypts all outbound email. Through communication with other ZixGateway users, Austin Bank exchanges transparent, secure email with more than 110 business partners, such as processing, appraisal and title companies. For those 110 partners, not even a password is needed to exchange customer information securely.

"Using secure email is a simple and inexpensive step to assure that customer information is protected," said Rick Spurr, ZixCorp's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are pleased that Austin Bank views our service as key to the protection of its customers and appreciates the secure, convenient solution we provide."

For partners and customers without email encryption, secure email can be delivered and recipients can respond through ZixPort®, a secure Web-based portal.
