Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company, (NYSE:PBI), today announced that ING Mexico is leveraging Group 1's Customer Communication Management (CCM) Software to create a single consolidated view of its customers.
ING Mexico, a member of the world leading ING Group, provides a full spectrum of service offerings: Casualty, Life and Auto Insurance, Banking, Retirement Savings Plans, Investment Management and more. ING Mexico uses Group 1's industry leading Merge/Purge technology to consolidate customer data from a multitude of ING business lines to create a single, consolidated view of the customer's relationship with ING.
In Mexico, customers are not required to supply a unique ID, like a social security number, to secure a product or service from a financial institution. To consolidate customer information, therefore, ING Mexico needed very sophisticated name matching algorithms, which Group 1's Merge/Purge technology provided. Merge/Purge can consolidate name and address data regardless of the format of the incoming data.
ING Mexico chose Group 1 Software because the solution was robust enough to handle their complex requirements and flexible enough to interface with their various business systems. ING Mexico was also impressed with the breadth and depth of local references and the strong financial position of Group 1's parent company, Pitney Bowes.
"With Group 1's Merge/Purge technology, we were able to build our customer-centric database, which constitutes the basis of all of our marketing initiatives like cross-sell and up-sell campaigns. It allows us to comply with black list regulations and identify and avoid high risk customers," says Roberto Munguia, Chief Data Warehouse Manager of ING Mexico.
"We are very excited that our Merge/Purge technology is providing such excellent results for ING Mexico," said Alan Slater, President of Group 1 Software's DOC1 Division. "This advanced technology will continue to be one of the cornerstones of our long-term, continuous growth."
