ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW), a leading international provider of electronic payments software and solutions, today announced that the latest versions of Base24-eps, Base24-atm and Base24-pos have been validated under the PCI's Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), the global standard for vendors of payment applications.
For the hundreds of banks, retailers and payment processors around the world that rely on payment systems from ACI Worldwide to process more than 75 billion consumer transactions each year, this demonstrates ACI's continued investment in both BASE24 and BASE24-eps to help them remain fully compliant with the industry standards for data security. PCI PA-DSS validation helps ensure that ACI's customers that store and transmit card data can always protect that data, and don't incorrectly store any information which is prohibited, such as card validation or PIN details.
Charlie Collins, director of security engineering at ACI Worldwide said, "ACI is committed to helping our customers protect the security of their customers. BASE24-eps and BASE24 are used by some of the largest organizations in the industry, it is essential that we maintain our ongoing investment in keeping them validated to the very highest industry standards, across all platforms."
As a PCI participating organization, ACI is actively involved with the PCI community and standards. ACI's Security Engineering organization consults with product architects and customers to implement solutions that will meet the requirements defined by those standards.
