Volante announced today that Lombard Odier, one of Switzerland's oldest and largest firms of private bankers, has chosen Volante technology for integration of Swiss Interbank Clearing (SIC) network messages.

Part of a larger payment automation initiative, the project is projected to go into production late in the second quarter.

"In planning this initiative, we looked for integration technology that would both perform flawlessly in our payments network and insulate our legacy systems from changes," said Sébastien Seymarc, technical architect at Lombard Odier. "Our previous experience with Volante in SWIFT messaging transformations was so positive that it was a natural choice to work with Volante again in this initiative."

Volante is developing a SIC plug-in for the project, which will be used with Volante Composer integration software, providing built-in dictionaries and automated validations for the SIC network.

"We are delighted to be chosen by Lombard Odier for this new initiative," said Vijay Oddiraju, CEO of Volante. "Being selected because of previous good work with SWIFT messaging is very gratifying for us. We are doubly pleased because the project enables us to create a new plug-in for the SIC network. With our new office servicing the EMEA regions, we are committed to expanding our coverage of domestic payments networks around the world."
