eBillme™, a safe and secure way to pay with cash online using online banking and walk-in locations, announced today that the payment option will now be available on the Discover Network through CardinalCommerce's Centinel® Universal Merchant Platform.

As a result of this new partnership, Discover's merchant network will have a new way to attract the growing number of online shoppers who prefer to pay with cash.

"This partnership is a pioneering approach to enabling online payments for our merchant network," says Farhan Ahmad, General Manager, Prepaid & Director of Emerging Payments at Discover. "Our core mission is to provide our merchants with more payment choices, and we believe this relationship with eBillme will enable us to do that."

eBillme is the most secure way to pay with cash online. When shoppers choose the option at checkout, their order is confirmed with a bill sent to their e-mail address. Consumers simply pay the bill the same way they pay utilities, loans, insurance, and other bills through their online bank account or by paying at one of over 75,000 walk-in locations.

"CardinalCommerce and Discover share our dedication to a successful checkout experience for shoppers and we are excited to be working together with them to bring secure cash payments to more online retailers," says Marwan Forzley, President and CEO of eBillme. "We enable online shoppers to take the security of their banks with them to the eCommerce checkout without any fees, interest or debt. Retailers that offer eBillme see increases in average order values, customer loyalty and new customers. We now bring these benefits to the Discover Network and look forward to welcoming their merchants into our eBillme family."

Merchants also benefit from programs created by eBillme to attract online shoppers including buyer protection features like satisfaction guarantee, best price, and fraud protection in addition to a cash back rewards program for shoppers. eBillme also supports merchants and merchant sales through its Debt-Free Mall which features products, gift cards and deals from merchant sites.

"Cardinal continues to achieve its business strategy, to enable and authenticate transactions originating from any place, sending transactions to the right place, in the right way," says Mike Keresman, the Chief Executive Officer, CardinalCommerce Corporation. "eBillme has been a popular alternative payment available to merchants using Centinel for several years. We are pleased to be able to extend the eBillme payment option, leveraging Centinel, through a seamless, fast integration across the Discover Network of retail merchants."
