IPC Systems, a leading provider of trading communications solutions to the world's top financial services firms, today announced that it is providing GuavaTech, a leading customised network engineering, systems integration and telecommunications provider with highly reliable, secure, low-latency electronic connectivity to key liquidity venues.

IPC's Electronic Connectivity Services (ECS) enables GuavaTech to connect seamlessly to key liquidity venues and exchanges around the world.

IPC expanded its footprint within GuavaTech by deploying a fully redundant, cost efficient ECS solution that delivers a dedicated high bandwidth, low latency connection from GuavaTech to the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the world's largest physical commodities futures exchange. Additionally, to support growing business continuity planning measures, GuavaTech can connect directly to disaster recovery sites provisioned by the BATS Exchange employing IPC's rapid circuit provisioning.

"The highly scalable and low latency IPC ECS solution enables us to stay nimble, swiftly connect to liquidity venues, enhance our competitive advantage and provide world-class customer service," said Michael Pappas, Director of Business Development, GuavaTech. "ECS is a fast, reliable, secure and cost-effective solution that has become an integral part of our enterprise connectivity strategy."

IPC's high-quality, reliable connectivity is particularly well suited for electronic trading, enabling rapid expansion, and provides a dedicated, not shared, implementation. Exclusivity of access provides an increased level of security, protection of transactional information and performance. IPC demonstrated flexibility and reliability resulting from relationships with over 80 carriers and a unified global network topology that met GuavaTech's business and connectivity requirements. With the ECS solution in place, GuavaTech is able to reduce risk, shorten time to market and increase competitiveness.

"GuavaTech needed a flexible, scalable, fully managed network infrastructure that could be activated quickly," said Michael Semegran, Vice President, Product Management, IPC Systems. "As a provider of mission-critical global trading communications for nearly four decades, IPC is committed to providing trading customers with guaranteed, dedicated high-speed access to some of the world's most significant venues. We are delighted that GuavaTech chose IPC to help meet their business and connectivity requirements."
