Susquehanna Bancshares chooses SunGard for credit risk management

Susquehanna Bancshares, a Pennsylvania-based financial services holding company with approximately $14 billion in assets, has selected SunGard's AmbitCredit Assessment and AmbitCredit Portfolio Monitoring solutions to help measure and manage its credit risk.

The bank plans to use the solutions to help improve the efficiency of its credit process, enhance its relationship management capabilities, gain better visibility into its loan portfolio and assist in meeting the stress testing requirements laid out in the Dodd Frank Act. The bank is a long term user of SunGard's Ambit Risk & Performance Management solutions.

Like many community-based, regional banks, Susquehanna is committed to providing credit to its clients. In addition to meeting its profitability objectives, the bank must be able to do this while maintaining prudent lending standards and appropriate capital adequacy. Ambit Credit Assessment and Ambit Credit Portfolio Monitoring will helpthe bank improve its ability to regularly perform systematic underwriting, loss forecasting and stress testing of its commercial and industrial and commercial real estate portfolios
