The fully operational new centre is intended to meet the strong demand for network services in Taiwan, and continues Etrali's strategy of expanding its Asian presence.

"The new technical site in Taipei extends our global reach, and specifically our coverage in the Asia-Pacific region," says David Guerineau, Paris-based Marketing Network Product Manager at Etrali. "Our existing clients in Taiwan asked us to expand our capacity in the region, and there are a number of potential clients who have already expressed an interest in the services we are offering."

Etrali is managing the site with its partner Xinhua Finance, a leader in the Taiwanese financial services industry. "This is a brand new PoP and offers state of the art technology, security and services," Guerineau observes. "Working with Xinhua means that we are partnering one of the most important players in the financial services market in Taiwan, which is key to ensuring that our customers continue to get the support they expect from Etrali."

The facility has a capacity of more than 100 voice circuits, either analogue or digital, and can support data services ranging from 64k to 2 megabytes.

Etrali is keen to ensure that it works closely with customers in Asia, and is looking to add further sites across the region. "We currently have points of presence in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and now Taipei, and we are actively seeking further additions to that network," Guerineau adds. "This is simply part of a step by step process of extending our ability to support our clients in Asia."
