C&A Mode KG is one of the four largest clothing retailers in Germany, with a significant presence in the largest European markets. The installation is expected to be completed shortly.

"Our mission is to create the optimal payment experience for retailers and their customers, and Hypercom's Artema Hybrid payment system allows us to do just that," said Kay-Hendrik Eichler, Managing Director, montrada GmbH. " The deployment of this best-in-class Hybrid terminal allows us to deliver better value to our customers."

"Europe's leading retailers and system integrators demand state-of-the-art high security payment systems from trusted providers, and we are pleased to support them," said Peter Vesco, Managing Director, Northern Europe, Hypercom Corporation.

Some 300,000 Artema Hybrid systems, which set the standard in the market for fast and reliable card payments, have been deployed in Germany alone. Artema Hybrid features a single slot "hybrid" card reader and secure integrated PIN Pad to accept both magnetic stripe and chip card transactions. It was the first terminal to be certified according to the TA 7.0 chip-card specifications, recently introduced by the Zentraler Kreditausschuss (ZKA) German banking association.
