Orc Software (SSE: ORC), a leading provider of technology and services for the global financial industry, announces that Chicago-based trading firm MVS Trading has deployed Orc Trading as the options trading platform for the firm.
The order was booked in Q4 2010, and the contract is based on Orc's licensing subscription model.
MVS Trading, a new trading firm started by industry veteran Alan Sartin, is deploying Orc Software's trading platform for advanced options trading. They will be taking advantage of Orc's new functionality for volatility trading that allows them to manage volatilities in Orc quickly and easily. MVS Trading is seeking to grow their trading business aggressively with new traders and advanced technology.
Alan Sartin, Owner of MVS Trading, notes, "Having used Orc successfully at previous firms, we knew that Orc was the right solution for our sophisticated trading needs. Orc helps us to make better trades, more quickly and easily than we can on our own. We are currently seeking new traders to help leverage our investment in Orc to grow our firm aggressively."
Steve Lukes, VP of Americas Sales at Orc Software, comments, "In today's competitive trading environment, we're seeing more and more firms look for solutions from Orc to help them gain an edge. Solid technology with the functionality that options and volatility traders demand is a requirement for our customers, and firms like MVS Trading continue to deploy Orc technology to meet their needs."
