Carreker teams with IBM to deliver fraud prevention services

Carreker Corporation (Nasdaq:CANI), a leading provider of technology and consulting solutions for the financial industry, today announced a new risk detection offering that enables companies to prevent fraudulent activities.

In addition, Carreker will team with IBM consultants to help companies quickly determine weak spots, identify detection requirements and provide comprehensive operational and technical strategies for preventing fraud.

Through identification of current and past fraud exposures, companies can easily see the benefits of implementing the Carreker Fraud Manager solution to reduce future fraud. Utilising a new detection engine, Fraud Manager allows for enterprise-level risk management across multiple channels and relationships.

Fraud Manager is currently available to detect fraudulent wire transfers through all channels including the Internet, branch and telephone. The Fraud Manager system leverages and builds upon Carreker's existing fraud detection solutions installed at more than 100 financial institutions world wide, protecting approximately 70% of the DDA accounts in the US, 90% in Australia, as well as significant proportions in Canada, the UK, and Ireland.

Carreker's Fraud Manager System has been created on an advanced platform that integrates IBM's infrastructure and middleware components tightly with Carreker's business applications, providing financial institutions a technology system that delivers real-time, industry-leading fraud prevention.
