Bell ID, the worldwide technology leader in token management solutions, and PPC Card Systems (PPC), an EMV certified card personalisation bureau, today announced a collaboration to enable hosted provisioning and management services for secure mobile contactless applications, often known as NFC applications.

The proposition enables mobile network operators, banks and service providers to deliver mobile application provisioning and/or Trusted Service Manager (TSM) services to their client base through the use of hosted 'over the air' provisioning and comprehensive management services for mobile contactless applications.

The joint solution takes advantage of Bell ID's market proven high volume token, application & key lifecycle management systems within the certified and secure operations environment, managed by PPC. This approach delivers the capability of issuing and managing companion cards to complement the mobile contactless tokens. PPC, member of the AEM Technologies Group (Switzerland), personalises and distributes smart cards for many European financial organisations and brings significant operational expertise to the partnership.

"The collaboration between Bell ID and PPC means we can provide a broader set of solution delivery options, further encouraging mass market adoption of NFC based mobile contactless applications", said David Orme, CEO of Bell ID. "We are pleased to integrate and partner with PPC, a well-respected and proven provider of personalisation services in Europe."

Jos van der Linden, Managing Director at PPC Card Systems, commented "As a result of this partnership with Bell ID we can now offer an additional service to our customers. With the expertise of Bell ID we can offer the best of both worlds to our clients that need secure personalisation services and token life-cycle management."
