Turkey's Yapı Kredi launches Android app

Yapı Kredi, the Best Consumer Internet Bank of Turkey as selected by Global Finance magazine, has launched the first native financial Android application in Turkey.

The application enables reach to Istanbul Stock Exchange data, foreign exchange rates, fund prices and interest rates, current market news, use of financial calculation tools and reach to Yapı Kredi Customer Services with one click 24/7. The users of the application can see the closest branch or ATM on map according to their position.

Yapı Kredi Financial Android application can be downloaded free-of-charge from Android Market or with a QR code that can be found at yapikredi.com.tr/android/android.aspx. Also yapikredi.com.tr/android/yapikredi.apk link can be written to the address bar of the mobile phone's browser to download the application.

Doğan states that they were proud to be the first bank launching an application for Android phones, which had been expanding vastly in Turkey and throughout the world adding the fact that each day 160.000 people bought smart phones supporting Android operating system.

Yapı Kredi was also the first bank in Turkey that launched financial iPhone application, which has over 80 thousand users currently. The application was made available to iPad users after the launch of the device.
