The certification ensures a product provides secure reliable communications between financial institutions and their customers, and this marks the third consecutive year webMethods has been awarded this certification.

The SWIFTReady Gold label signifies that webMethods' SWIFT Straight Through Processing (STP) solution can provide financial institutions with secure, rapid, reliable and cost effective end-to-end information flow from customer systems to the financial institutions' internal systems, then on to the financial markets' systems and vice versa.

Financial institutions using webMethods' certified STP solution benefit from expanded market reach by accessing new customers and partners through SWIFT's single window to the financial world, accelerated time-to-market for new products and services, and low total cost of ownership through a standardised approach to integration. Over 125 customers such as ABN Amro, Bank of America, and Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia (CLSA), currently use webMethods' various financial services solutions, which include STP and the 2004 SWIFTReady certified Nostro Account Information (Cash Reporting) solution.

"webMethods has continuously been at the forefront of delivering secure and reliable financial services solutions that scale and perform to the rigorous demands of financial institutions," said Satish Krishnamurthy, director, Global Financial Services, webMethods. "webMethods' financial industry solutions continue to be favored by leading financial services companies across the globe, enabling them to operate efficiently, reduce risk and lower transaction costs."

"We appreciate the enthusiasm, willingness and ability shown by webMethods to quickly deliver SWIFTReady advanced technology to our clients that enable enterprise integration and customer value creation," said Olivier Roucloux, EAI Industry Analyst at SWIFT. "We look forward to exploring new opportunities together with webMethods and are very pleased to award the 2005 SWIFTReady Gold Financial EAI label to their product."
