Standard & Poor's announced that its Capital IQ division, a leading provider of high-impact information solutions to the global investment and financial services communities, released a new version of the Capital IQ Platform.

The new version features a broad range of market intelligence, functionality, and usability enhancements.

More International Company Financials and Industry-Specific Items Capital IQ's international company financials are now on par with its US company financials. Coverage is over 10,000 international companies and includes robust currency conversion, "click through" audit capability, and wide range of industry-specific financial and supplemental items.

More M&A, Fixed Income, and Equity Data

M&A transaction profiles now include detailed LTM financials at the time of transaction as well as deal multiples, features, terms, premiums, and "click-through" links to related SEC filings. Also available are debt securities and ratings data on over 11,000 issuing companies as well as equity pricing data on over 30,000 international companies.

More Industry Data and Analysis

Users can access a broad range of industry-specific aggregate financials, charts, graphs, transactions, events, news, and Key Developments as well as relative sector performance.

New Events Calendar

Details of upcoming conference calls, earnings releases, dividends, and splits are available for public companies globally.

Key Functionality Enhancements Include:

Revamped Screening

Users can screen for transactions based on transaction types, details, valuation, features, and purposes as well as attributes of selling, buying, and issuing entities. Other screening enhancements include the ability to screen by currencies, SEC filings, most recent auditor, and company notes.

Excel Plug-In

Key enhancements include currency conversion, quick formula parameter change, and historical forward multiples.

Significantly Enhanced Chart Builder

Hundreds of new charting options are available including daily stock performance (e.g., line, high/low, candlestick, area), financial items (e.g., industry-specific supplementals, multiples, financial statement items), and shares traded analysis.

"My Alerts" Feature

In addition to SEC filings, Key Developments, and Activity Logs, users can now create and receive email alerts for upcoming events and stock price movements for companies under their watch.

Capital IQ Real-Time(TM)

Users can view streaming real-time quotes and news for all North American exchange-traded stocks, options, and major markets.
