The new software will replace diverse heritage systems with just one broking package.

In addition to the software, Sequel will be providing Marsh with consultancy support. The first phase of Marsh's project will go live in late Spring 2011.

"Eclipse Broking will improve our processes and thus improve the quality of service we give to our clients," says Martin South, CEO Marsh UK & Ireland. "It will be at the heart of our London-based operation, supporting our key business, and will give us the right platform from which we can provide our clients with a full range of risk and insurance products in the most effective way." Simon Curtis, COO Marsh UK & Ireland comments: "Our partnership with Sequel is a key part of our overall change programme for our London Market businesses".

Michael Graham, Sequel's Sales and Marketing Director, says: "This is a major project. Marsh chose Sequel because of our expertise in delivering successful large-scale business transformation projects, because of Eclipse Broking's functionality and because of the software's ability to integrate with, and complement, Marsh's other core systems. Both companies are now actively working together to make sure that the new system delivers its promise to stakeholders on time."
