Rabobank Netherlands' marketing specialists within the central organisation will be using Executive Viewer to analyse and report database content for market statistics, analysis and research.
The Rabobank Group is the largest financial services provider in the Dutch market. It has over nine million private and business customers and is the market leader. The Rabobank Group consists of 280 independent local co-operative Rabobanks, which have a combined total of over 1.4 million members. The group is represented internationally with 169 business locations in 34 countries, including two offices in the UK.
Rabobank Netherlands selected Temtec's Executive Viewer as a replacement for an old Holos solution that was difficult to use and could only perform limited analysis. The selection was made following an extensive pilot project, which was co-ordinated by Capgemini. Executive Viewer was found to be both easy to use and have the best combination of features.
"We entered an extensive evaluation project with products from three suppliers, which we tested on two databases," commented Rabobank Netherlands' project manager of database marketing, Paul Groenland. "We didn't just look at performance figures, but also at user experiences. Based on both these criteria, Temtec's Executive Viewer emerged as the winner."
The solution had to connect to a number of existing database applications at Rabobank, including MS Analysis Services. "Microsoft suggested Temtec's Executive Viewer as a good front-end to its database solution and it turned out that Executive Viewer was also suited to the other applications we already used," added Groenland. "Our marketing specialists can now easily perform simple analysis themselves, thanks to this new business intelligence solution."
