This agreement will extend BT's communication portfolio within GB&FM by allowing video messages and presentations to be delivered across all of BT's trading services products.

Key points
• The Kulu Valley visual messaging solution builds on BT's development of unified communication tools for its trading suite to increase trader productivity by shortening speed to market and access to trade and customer data. By combining its turret trading technology and software with trader's desktop applications such as Outlook, CRM applications and market data providers, BT further empowers financial institutions by allowing selected users to create video communications at their desktop and distribute these quickly and easily across the trading floor globally. Video messages may also be delivered externally to customers and counterparties.

• The compelling nature of video messaging combined with PowerPoints and other data means that key information is easily understood by recipients enabling fast and accurate decision making.

• The Kulu Valley visual messaging solution will initially be integrated with BT's Trading Communications solutions with a view to offering extended deployment across the BT Radianz shared market infrastructure.

Commenting on BT's trading suite innovation, Tim Furmidge, Head of Strategy and Product Development, BT GB&FM, said: "With financial markets becoming increasingly automated and complex, financial institutions need access to tools that help them get the most out of their time and their trading rooms. People and technology are interacting more closely than ever before during sales and execution, creating a growing need for converged voice, data networks and multi-media applications to improve efficiency and productivity.

"Visual messaging built by Kulu Valley and delivered globally by BT allows users to distribute messages widely and quickly, rs widely and quickly, regardlessregardless of location or time zone."

Sumit Rai, founder and CEO, Kulu Valley, said: "Initially designed to capture Morning Meetings, Sales Briefings, Management Briefings and Townhalls, visual messaging is now used at the desktop and through the organisation. We believe Kulu Valley meets a need in the communication landscape and that visual messaging will grow rapidly over the next five years. The strength of BT's communication portfolio, network community and video portfolio are key reasons why Kulu Valley has selected BT as a global distributor in the financial markets and we look forward to working together to provide excellence in video communications."
