OMX establishes exchanges division

As a step in OMX's combination with the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, a new organization is being established within the OMX Exchanges division. The new organization will come into effect on April 1, 2005.

Jukka Ruuska will continue as President of the OMX Exchanges division and President of the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Hans-Ole Jochumsen, President of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, will become Deputy President of the division as well as President of the Business Development unit. Jukka Ruuska and Hans-Ole Jochumsen will both be members of OMX’s Executive Management.

OMX Exchanges will continue to organize its operations in a way that facilitates the creation of an integrated Nordic and Baltic market and enables it to support and work closer to its customers both regionally and locally. The operations will be organized as follows: Cash Market Sweden, Cash Market Finland, Cash Market Denmark, Derivatives Markets, Information Services and Baltic Markets.

To ensure the vision of an integrated Nordic and Baltic securities market, the local offering of services for cash and issuer operations will be coordinated across the region within the unit Cash Markets Products with Jouni Torasvirta as President.

  • Jenny Rosberg, today Head of Corporate Finance at Erik Penser Fondkommission, has been appointed President of Cash Market Sweden. Jenny Rosberg joins the company on March 14.
  • Jouni Torasvirta, currently President of OMX Exchanges Cash Markets business area has been appointed President of Cash Market Finland. Jouni Torasvirta will also continue as President of the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
  • Jan Ovesen, today CFO of Copenhagen Stock Exchange, has been appointed President of Cash Market Denmark.
  • Henrik Paulsson, currently President of OMX Exchanges' Derivatives Markets business area, will continue as President of Derivatives Markets.
  • Peter Belling, today Senior Vice President, Head of Equities, Investment Funds and Market Data at Copenhagen Stock Exchange, has been appointed President of Information Services.
  • Johan Rudén, today Senior Project Manager CEO office at OMX, has been appointed President of Baltic Markets. In addition, Daiga Auziòa-Melalksne, today Deputy Chairman of Management Board at Riga Stock Exchange, has been appointed Head of operations in Latvia.
  • Anders Ackebo, today head of the Surveillance unit within OMX Exchanges, will continue as Head of Surveillance.
