The new interface reflects the firm's global strategy of providing low latency connectivity and trading solutions onto the world's leading Asian and international exchanges.

Stéphane Lannoy, RTS Managing Director, Asia Pacific, said: "We are very pleased to provide our Japanese and international clients with the ability to trade this key Asian marketplace for listed commodity derivatives. We've experienced significant growth in Asia over the past six months as we've built further on our connectivity portfolio in the region. Our innovative low latency trading solutions enable members of the Japanese and Asian trading communities to easily access TOCOM and other exchanges in the region, and offer firms all over the world high-speed access to Asian markets."

RTS now offers high performance access to TOCOM through its entire low latency trading solutions portfolio, including the RTD APIs, the RTD Tango high-frequency algorithmic trading solution, and the front-end trading systems, RTD and eRTD.

The firm has successfully provided high performance connectivity solutions in Japan for several years. When combined with the full RTS connectivity portfolio of more than 120 international venues, the interface to TOCOM creates new arbitrage opportunities as well as expands on trading choices. Through RTS technology, users will be able to trade all TOCOM products, including precious metals, rubber, aluminum and oil.

Tadashi Ezaki, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Tokyo Commodity Exchange, said: "We are committed to establishing ourselves as the primary commodity exchange in Asia. Through technology providers such as RTS, we are able to attract the international trading communities that are already deploying the firm's advanced technology."

Yasuo Mogi, Vice Chairman of Newedge Japan Inc., said: "We have been working with RTS to expand our connectivity on TOCOM markets for the benefit of our mutual clients. RTS has proven to be a technology provider of choice, creating value for our customers in Asia."
