RBS WorldPay today announced that it has been selected by Retail Pro International as its preferred electronic payments processor.
For more than 20 years, Retail Pro has provided cost-effective retail point of sale software and easy-to-use retail management software solutions to retailers worldwide. Retail Pro specializes in delivering cost-effective, scalable solutions to small and mid-tier retailers internationally.
Based on an exhaustive Request for Proposal (RFP) selection process, Retail Pro selected RBS WorldPay from many leading contenders as its preferred payment processing solution. In addition to delivering Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) processing choices for Retail Pro merchants, RBS WorldPay also provided improved pricing for Retail Pro's high performance payment interface.
"I'm pleased with the results of the selection process and the enthusiastic response from the payments industry to our request," said Retail Pro CEO, Kerry Lemos. "While it was challenging to choose from so many worthy offerings, I'm certain we selected the top payment processor serving the specialty retail space and we achieved our goal of providing excellent payment options at a lower cost to our customers. Along with our new high performance PA-DSS/PCI compliant integrated payment platform and reduced interface costs, we can offer a lower cost of ownership and operation, as well as flexible payment services choices."
"We are enthusiastic about being selected as the preferred payments processor by Retail Pro," said Nick Peirson, vice president of Market Development for RBS WorldPay. "This alliance is a natural fit matching two companies with a singular vision to assist small and medium-sized businesses to grow the profits of their businesses. Our merchants depend on our industry-leading payment platform, our commitment to excellence and staying ahead of the curve which is what led us to this relationship with Retail Pro."
