Millions of Citi credit card customers in the U.S. can now manage their card accounts via the downloadable Citi Mobile application for the iPhone device.
"This application now provides our customers with anywhere, anytime access to their credit card account information, which is important for people on the go. It will help more customers to stay connected in real-time to their finances and to make informed spending decisions," said Liza Landsman, Head of North America Consumer Internet & Mobile, Citi.
With mobile access to their account information, Citi credit card customers can manage their spending more wisely. By utilizing Citi's Mobile App for the iPhone, consumers can quickly check account balances and available credit at any time with just a tap of the screen. The App also provides details on recent transactions, as well as the date on which the next payment is due, which can help prevent the accrual of fees from inadvertently late or missed payments.
The new capability enhances an iPhone application launched by Citibank last year for its retail banking customers. Citibank's iPhone App was one of the first mobile banking applications offered by a major U.S. Bank as an application specifically designed for the iPhone. Through this technology, Citibank has offered its customers a mobile banking option that is as fast and effortless as banking online.
Citi Mobile is available free on the Apple App Store and on iTunes. Credit card customers can simply download the application and sign on using the same User ID and Password they use to access their accounts online at CitiCards.com.
