Mobile Money Ventures (MMV), a leading global solutions provider of the next generation of mobile financial services, today announced the continued global adoption of its mobile financial services platform with the release of Citi Mobile in Thailand.
The solution - now available in six countries - allows customers convenient and secure access to their bank accounts by using their phone's mobile browser.
"With the release of Citi Mobile, we continue to deliver on our commitment to provide Citibank customers with innovative banking solutions. We're excited to launch the first mobile browser-based banking solution from a foreign financial institution in Thailand," said Mr. Yuenyong Ken Songsiridej, Country Marketing Director, Citibank, N.A. "Citibank understands that our customers are growing more mobile every day, and we will continue to develop and deliver mobile banking services that enhance our customers' experiences."
Using Citi Mobile, customers can easily access many of the convenient services offered through online banking, including viewing account summaries, transferring money, and making payments. Developed for both English and Thai-speaking users, the service will work on most mobile phones, on any wireless carrier. To ensure the highest level of security, MMV's mobile solution utilizes two-factor authentication and no personal information will be stored on mobile device.
"Citibank Thailand is committed to delivering the best-in-class mobile browser-based banking solution to their customers and we are pleased that our product delivered on that promise. The continued global adoption of our platform is remarkable and a tribute to the scalable and customizable solution that we've developed," said Jayastu Bhattacharya, Vice President of Sales at MMV. "With our Mobile Money Platform, we can quickly deploy enhancements to our client's current mobile banking solution and look forward to do so with Citibank Thailand."
In addition to the offering in Thailand, Citi and MMV have worked together to deploy mobile banking services for customers in Hong Kong, the United States, the Philippines, Singapore and China. The two companies will be announcing additional deployments in the coming months.
