High security electronic transactions solutions provider Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC) today announced that both its high security L4150 multilane payment terminal and L4150 Secure Keypad are PCI PTS 2.1 approved (formerly called PCI PED).

Hypercom will exhibit the popular products at the National Retail Federation 99th Annual Convention and Expo, January 10-13 in New York City.

"The L4150 gives multilane merchants the ability to offer the highest security protection and safety to customers when they enter their PIN numbers at the point of transaction," said Lloyd Baylard, Vice President, Multilane Products, Hypercom Corporation. "The optional L4150 Secure Keypad delivers an alternative solution for secure PIN entry, providing a tactile keypad that addresses the needs of the visually disabled."

"Providing our customers with the highest quality cost effective breakthrough solutions is what we do. The fact that we are the first of the top card payment terminal providers to announce achieving this stringent security level with a multilane terminal strengthens our ability to increase market share and reinforces our singular focus on providing customers with security leading solutions," said Baylard.

Achieving Payment Card Industry PIN transaction security 2.1 approval for the L4150 follows by less than two months Hypercom's receipt of the globally prestigious Sesame Award for its HyperSafe Remote Key System (HRKS). The Sesame Awards represent an unchallenged seal of approval in innovation and are regarded as the global standard for card manufacturers and related industries.
