"BB&T believes that it is the right time to add Wincor Nixdorf as an ATM supplier and service provider," said Mark Piper, BB&T's ATM Channel Manager. "Wincor enjoys an outstanding reputation as an ATM manufacturer worldwide, and they are rapidly expanding their customer base, market share, and service footprint in the U.S. We look forward to installing the first Wincor units in the BB&T ATM network between now and year-end and to further expanding the relationship in 2010."

BB&T is purchasing a range of models, including Wincor's ProCash NDC ATM terminal software, along with the company's ongoing first- and second-line servicing, maintenance and support. Installation of initial units is scheduled for completion by the end of 2009, with additional installations planned for 2010.

"As always, we are pleased when a prospective client agrees that Wincor offers the best overall value on the market today," said Patrick Wright, President and CEO of Wincor Nixdorf USA. "Fraud deterrence was a priority for BB&T, and I can say we offer the most advanced anti-skim technology available."

Wincor Nixdorf designs and manufactures a range of industry-leading ProCash ATM models, from lobby cash dispensers to advanced function walk-up and drive-up units. Wincor Nixdorf also offers ProCash software - an advanced multi-vendor software platform that allows all ATMs to work together seamlessly, regardless of manufacturer. Wincor was the first to develop multi-vendor software and currently leads the industry in total number of installations worldwide.
