Nyse Euronext (NYX) today announced that Mr. Vincent Van Dessel has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronext Brussels and as a member of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V.
He will also be appointed as a member of the Management Committee of NYSE Euronext. The appointments are subject to the non-objection or approval of the Belgian regulator CBFA, Euronext N.V.'s College of Regulators and the Dutch Minister of Finance.

Vincent Van Dessel, a Belgian citizen, is 50. Having a M Sc in Applied Economics from the K.U. Leuven University, Belgium, he started his career as a stockbroker in 1984. He joined the Brussels Stock Exchange in April 1992 as Director Markets and Listing. He also chaired the Market Authority of Euronext Brussels from 2000-2003. Since 2003, he was appointed General Manager of Euronext Brussels. In addition, he is a lecturer at several universities (Solvay Business School, ICHEC, FUCAM, Sorbonne University Paris).
