The Comerica banking center at 1959 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix opened Aug. 31. Led by manager Marlene Van Leeuwen, the new office is located at the Camelback Colonnade, just west of the Town and Country Shopping Center and the Biltmore Fashion Park. The banking center is the 14th new location for Comerica Bank in Maricopa County since the Dallas-based bank began its expansion program in Arizona in late 2005.

"Our commitment to Maricopa County and our confidence in the regional economy is stronger than ever," said Meredith Russell, president of Comerica Bank in Arizona.

"We expect our new banking centers to not only have a positive impact on businesses and families in these communities, but also a positive impact on the environment," said Bridget Cooney, senior vice president and Arizona regional manager for Comerica Bank's retail banking services.

The new banking centers in Phoenix, Chandler, Goodyear and Scottsdale feature low-water landscaping, effective use of natural lighting, recycled materials, energy-efficient cooling systems, motion-sensitive lighting - even 'green' janitor materials, said Cooney.

The banking centers also feature Saturday hours, drive-through banking, 24-hour ATMs, safe-deposit boxes, and serve as access points for Comerica's commercial and private banking services.

Here are the new banking center locations:

  • 1959 E. Camelback Road, Phoenix. Opened Aug. 31. Marlene Van Leeuwen, manager
  • 220 S. Gilbert Road, Chandler. Opens Sept. 14. Calvin Coleman, manager
  • 1831 N. Pebble Creek Parkway, Estrella Falls Mall, Goodyear. Opens late October. Sean Scibienski, manager
  • McDowell Road, Scottsdale. Opens first quarter, 2010.
