Tavant Technologies, a leading provider of specialized IT solutions and services for the consumer lending domain, today announced that Fifth Third Bank collaborated with the company to launch a direct-to-consumer lending web-application.

The application is a multi-functional self service channel where customers initiate contact with Fifth Third Bank, identify immediate loan fit, find and apply for appropriate lending products, and utilize Fifth Third Bank's supporting content, calculators and valuation tools. Currently, the application gives customers the opportunity to directly apply for home equity and vehicle loans. The application provides easy navigation and a rich internet experience leveraging Web2.0 features.

The web-application is packed with several powerful tools for the end-users. It lets borrowers find the rate, APR and monthly payment using an integrated Calculator. Drawing on integration with Fifth Third Bank's systems, the application dynamically displays home equity and vehicle financing rates. Additionally, the Home Value Estimator presents the value of a given property along with price trends for the neighborhood. Borrowers can also use Click-to-call to request assistance.

"We are very excited to offer our customers a new, functionality-rich online loan application," said Marilyn Mocilnikar, senior vice president and director of retail lending products & services at Fifth Third Bank. "Tavant's expertise and direct lending platform allows us to better compete in the online channel and offer our customers a positive application experience."

"The practical success of these front-end channels relies upon leveraging forward Fifth Third's robust capabilities and expertise while simultaneously interjecting a net-new customer experience," said Matthew Wood, head of consumer lending practice at Tavant Technologies. "To our client's customers, this web-channel places into their hands useful real-time information."
