Fiserv (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced that Walmart (NYSE: WMT) has implemented the CheckFreePay service from Fiserv, enabling customers to pay bills in person at all Walmart locations in the United States.
Using the CheckFreePay service, customers can pay household bills, such as their utility, mobile phone, auto loan, insurance and credit card bills, at any one of the retailer?s 3,755 domestic locations, including Walmart SuperCenters and Neighborhood Markets.
The CheckFreePay service from Fiserv gives customers the ability to pay bills from more than 2,500 companies. Payments can be made at the Walmart MoneyCenter or customer service desk using cash or a pin-based debit card. Standard payments are delivered to the biller within three business days, and NextDay payments are delivered to the biller on the next business day. A receipt is provided as assurance of payment.

Payments made using the CheckFreePay service are delivered electronically, which ensures a fast and secure transaction for Walmart customers. Payments flow quickly and seamlessly to the billing company via Fiserv's secure electronic payment network, which processes more than one billion transactions each year.
