Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC), a leading global information technology (IT) services firm, announced today that Norwich Union Insurance, the UK general insurance arm of the world's seventh largest insurance group, Aviva, has implemented CSC's document management solution for its personal lines division.

CSC, a worldwide distributor of Docucorp International products, developed the solution by integrating its Exceed software system, which is already implemented at Norwich Union, with Docucorp's publishing technology. This integrated solution enables Norwich Union to automatically insert dynamic, personalised messages based on individual insured information and preferences into ongoing correspondence.

"With this enhanced correspondence solution, we are able to reduce the errors and labour costs associated with manual processing and input," said Alex Robinson, Norwich Union IT director. "Additionally, our employees and brokers are able to view full-fidelity versions of insureds’ policy information at the desktop level, enabling them to provide more informed and responsive customer service."

"We’re pleased to be able to extend the capabilities of our Exceed solution,” said John Maitz, vice president and head of CSC’s General Insurance division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). By integrating Docucorp’s publishing engine, we can provide our Exceed customers with a state-of-the-art correspondence solution."

"CSC’s integrated solution enables Norwich Union to access policy, correspondence, claims and other critical insurance data on-line, significantly reducing its printing and mailing costs," said Tracey Robinson, Docucorp EMEA vice president and managing director.
