AsiaPay Limited, a leading provider of ePayment processing and security service and solutions in Asia, yesterday announced partnership with leading eSecurity solution leader Softforum.

Under the partnership, AsiaPay will promote and distribute Softforum's XecurePay ACS products in Greater China and Asia, including ACS Server, Enrolment Server, ACS Manager, WAP Extension and SMS Extension.

With the increasing use of Internet and continued growth of eCommerce payment, leading credit card companies have jointly developed and implemented a new online payment security protocol standard -- 3-D secure. Softforum's XecurePay is a 3-D Secure product suite designed to provide a advanced cardholder authentication security for payment with credit card on the Internet. Unlike other 3-D secure products, Softforum XecurePay is the world's first PKI-based 3-D secure solution that supports both ID/password and public certificate methods. Softforum XecurePay has proven itself a great success amongst banks in Korea and an increasing number of major banks in Asia.

"Being a leading payment product and service house, AsiaPay is pleased to enhance our ePayment security product portfolio with Softforum's successful product solutions," said Joseph Chan, Chief Executive Officer of AsiaPay. "AsiaPay is proud to become a business partner of the top quality security house -- Softforum, and leverages the synergy of both companies on the eSecurity and ePayment technology expertise, as well as distribution reach and support in Greater China and the Asian region."

"We are very pleased to partner with AsiaPay to distribute our content security software in the Far East," said Mr. Chung Hyon-Cheol, Vice President of Softforum. "The need to securely authenticate credit cardholder becomes critical round the globe. Our partnership with AsiaPay positions us to meet this rapidly growing demand for the payment authentication security and reinforce our business development strategy further into the Greater China region."
