Omnify, a specialist IT and software services supplier to the UK financial services industry, has signed an agreement with Boston based Athena Investment Systems to provide outsourced sales and vendor services in the UK.

Omnify will work with Athena initially to drive sales of their ground breaking Business Intelligence application - Aura.

Aura offers asset managers and hedge funds a new paradigm for consolidated real-time reporting and analysis. The application features flexible and highly configurable calculation and visualisation capabilities, providing an interactive, unified view of data from disparate systems and data sources. It can be utilised throughout the investment process, including for real-time P&L, risk, performance, valuation, reconciliation and transaction reporting. Aura is a robust high performance Windows application which is deployable over the internet and can be configured easily by end users.

In addition to Aura, Athena also provides custom software solutions to extend existing systems or to develop new systems from scratch to meet the specific needs of its clients.

"We are delighted to be working with Athena to promote their products and services in the UK", says Andy King, Director and co-founder of Omnify. "Buy-side firms are increasingly looking to deploy technology to increase performance, manage risk, save time and lower operational costs. We believe that Athena's next generation applications, and Aura in particular, can provide better and more effective operational efficiencies, at a considerably lower cost than any of the competitors in the market".

"Our relationship with Omnify provides us with instant access to professional sales resource and the opportunity to accelerate sales in one of our key markets", says Scott Sykowski, Partner and co-founder of Athena. "Working with Omnify has extended our reach in the UK market in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and has enabled us to continue our focus on our domestic markets and the ongoing development of our software products. Omnify's impressive range of vendor services also mean we can plan ahead for UK market successes, without the burden of capital investtment that may inhibit our ability to continue to develop our applications. We look forward to extending our services further through our partnership with Omnify".

Although the agreement will initially concentrate on sales and marketing of the Athena product set, it will extend to include other support and IT services as the business develops.
